A few days ago, one of my closest friends hit me with a heavily loaded question.

“Are you a Communist?” she queried.

To which I replied:

I do not belong nor militate in any formal communist party in the U.S. Nor do I belong to any other political entity or party. Furthermore, I do not subscribe to a specific doctrine, ideology, or dogma. My allegiance is to my core principles and values, which are premised on honesty, justice, humanity, responsibility, critical thinking, open-mindedness, egalitarianism, compassion, a belief in a Higher Power of my understanding, and many of the teachings of Christ.

My personal beliefs aside, communism is an incredibly loaded word. Our infinitely mendacious educational, social, and media infrastructures begin inculcating reflexive rejection of “all things communist or socialist” into US Americans from the moment they draw their initial breath.

Why is the establishment so desperate to vaccinate us against the “disease” of communism?

Because at its hopelessly rotten core, capitalism, which is manifested most strongly in the United States, is about exploitation, hyper-competitiveness, “rugged individualism”, survival of the fittest, concentration of wealth in the hands of the few, profits above all, property over people, greed, and selfishness. Perhaps worst of all, this pyramid scheme masquerading as a “moral” economic system inevitably leads to wars fueled by its insatiable demands for new markets, more resources, and cheaper labor. Why else would 350 million out of 6.5 billion people spend a trillion dollars a year on a military that has the capacity to destroy our planet thousands of times over, dwarfs the combined firepower of the rest of the world, and plagues over 130 countries with its “benign” occupations? We in the United States maintain a carefully crafted façade as the “benevolent champions of democracy”, but will quickly install ruthless tyrants and commit mass murder (euphemistically labeling our victims as “collateral damage”) if sovereign nations dare to resist our economic rape and plunder.

And for those who have swallowed the specious argument that “true capitalism” doesn’t exist, you’re dreaming. Pinch yourself hard enough and you may awaken before it is too late. Capitalism is a cancer upon the sentient beings of the Earth and we are suffering through its advanced stages. Finance capital reigns supreme, massive oligopolies abound, wealth is increasingly accumulating in the hands of the few, imperial wars to expand markets and attain resources are increasing in frequency, and the insatiable greed driving this appalling perversion is raping and destroying the Earth.

Some opine that if we could just dismantle the “socialist” aspects of our socioeconomic system in the United States, restoring an unbridled free market, the world would be a much better place. Certainly our cynical plutocracy would welcome such a transition. However, it is hard to envision too many working people truly welcoming a return to ten year olds working twelve hour days, company towns, death and dismemberment on the job with no recourse against employers maintaining perilous work environments, miserly wages that would make today’s working poor look relatively affluent, blatantly monopolistic business practices, and wanton disregard for the environment.

History has clearly demonstrated that “free markets” are “free passes” for acquisitive sociopaths who thrive on bullying and exploiting a large percentage of the Earth’s sentient beings. And despite the ridiculously few and relatively minor restraints that social unrest has forced the opulent class to implement in the US, adept players in the deadly game of capitalism have refused to surrender their “inalienable right” to fuck the rest of the human race in their relentless charge to attain the power and wealth they so desperately crave to distract them from the existential agony of their spiritual emptiness.

[Note: If you don’t find a historical perspective convincing enough, consider the deadly machinations of the “free market” in China as it hurtles headlong into the very bowels of capitalist Hell:

http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/07/26/madeinchina.overview/index.html]

Karl Marx predicted the inevitable implosion of capitalism and theorized that a much more humane, egalitarian, and democratic system would rise in its place. It is little wonder that the bourgeoisie in the United States have striven so tenaciously to inculcate the unwashed masses to despise, fear, and ridicule socialism, communism, and nearly all aspects of Marxist thought. Sound bites, emotionally evocative images, ahistorical presentations, fear mongering, jingoism, advertising, and numerous temptations of instant gratification comprise a vast array of highly refined and insidious propaganda that perpetually hammers our minds to create a potent and effective false consciousness, and an irrational fear of anything but capitalism.

Socialism and communism, the political manifestations of Marxist ideas, have been grossly distorted within the framework of this false consciousness. While it is true that the implementations of Marx’s philosophies have yielded mixed results (many of those outcomes are primarily due to the unwavering hostility of the older, well established capitalist powers in the second half of the 20th century, led of course by the U.S.), the chasm between reality and the mind fuck we have received since birth is wide enough to engulf Donald Trump’s ego, or most of it anyway. For evidence, one need look no further than our Cold War nemesis.

Consider the pernicious myth that the United States “defeated” fascism in Europe in WWII. This lie persists despite the fact that a number of our very own uber-Capitalists did business with the Nazi regime until the 1942 Trading with the Enemy Act finally forbade it. Ironically, Prescott Bush, GW’s grandfather, was amongst those profiting from Hitler’s rise to power. Further, our ruling elite refused to intervene on behalf of a democratically elected government in Spain against Franco, who ultimately rose to power as a fascist dictator. Perhaps most importantly, the US lost about 500,000 people (almost all of whom were military personnel) in “defeating” Germany. Russia, one of history’s most heavily vilified “communist” nations, sacrificed 20 million people to ensure Hitler’s defeat. Had it not been for those evil “communists”, we might be speaking German right now.

Shortages of consumer goods is another “communist failure” apologists for capitalism love to trot out as “proof” that their beloved license to plunder and conquer is inherently superior to a more just economic system. Yet time and again they suppress the real reasons these shortages occurred. Recognizing the existential threat that Marxist ideals posed to their Anglo, imperial, and patriarchal plutocracy, the United States ruling class and its allies circled the wagons and imposed crippling economic sanctions on nations attempting to implement communism (i.e. Russia and Cuba).

Domestically, communists and socialists endured harassment, financial ruin, and prison. Witness the Palmer Raids and the witch hunts of the McCarthy era. Thank God our opulent overlords nipped potential revolutionary action in the bud. It is a tremendous relief that such a small number of “richly deserving” individuals acted to ensure the perpetuation of their virtual monopoly on the wealth of our nation, particularly in light of the existence of over a million homeless US Americans. Heartwarming indeed.

Yet our intrepid profit-seekers weren’t content to stop there. Realizing that the Soviet Union had an economy that was roughly 1/8th the size of the United States and was still largely agrarian all the way up to the Russian Revolution, they decided to initiate a ruinous military escalation that eventually culminated in the criminal nuclear arms race. Enabling obscene profits for the military industrial complex (by way of raping the US American taxpayer) and smothering communism in its infancy, the vampiric bourgeoisie ensured the perpetuation of its abominable existence. Meanwhile, the Ruskies faced the staggering tasks of industrializing a technologically backward nation, rebuilding their devastated infrastructure, and meeting consumer demands. So of course they didn’t have a McDonalds on each corner or a new car dealer within a three mile radius of every home. They were too busy bringing their economy into the 20th Century, recovering from Hitler’s invasion, and matching the US warhead for warhead.

Now, do I think that any manifestation of a communist government to date is a utopia? No. I see their flaws. But remember, those who have tried to implement socialism or communism have faced a formidable adversary in the form of the rotten bastards who comprise both our “elected” and our de facto governments. Crushing those who dare to attempt alternatives to the sacred cow of capitalism and trumpeting our “monopoly” on virtue, we US Americans would benefit tremendously from some serious soul-searching about our participation in a morally bankrupt mode of being. What spiritual growth or substance could possibly flourish in a system premised on greed, selfishness, and self-absorption?

Are we, the beneficiaries of a relative degree of physical security and comfort (in exchange for our complicity in crony capitalism, Neoliberal exploitation, and imperial invasions), truly superior to the communists and socialists we have been taught to fear and revile? How many invasions have Fidel or Chavez EVER launched?

We the People are mere pawns of our multimillionaires in Congress, the 10% who own 90% of our nation’s wealth, massive corporations, and a group which includes in its ranks both GW and other abject criminals like Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Abrams, Negroponte, and many others who have acted with impunity dating back to the Nixon era. There is a revolving door between our government (including both “elected” and appointed officials) and major corporations. Cheney and Halliburton represent exhibit A. Lobbyists and special interest groups pull our legislators’ strings and, in some instances, even write our laws, as was the case in the behind-closed-doors deal that Cheney cooked for the energy corporations. And look at our most likely Democratic Presidential nominee to be, Hillary Clinton, whose conservatism is one of the best kept secrets inside the Beltway. As a First Lady, she ostensibly fought aggressively for universal health care. She has now sold us out by accepting nearly a million dollars from the health care industry. Corruption, duplicity, mendacity, and egregious criminal conduct are not the exception. They are the rule in our vaunted capitalist system.

Our domestic politics, guided and determined by the demands of our predatory socioeconomic structure, are not alone in reeking of the fetid stench of profound moral decay. Consider our malevolent foreign policy, including myriad CIA covert operations, economic extortion, and outright imperial slaughter frequently employed to crush efforts by sovereign nations to defy the capitalist paradigm and implement socialism. For convincing evidence that we are NOT wearing white hats and making the world safe for democracy, do a little research on Chile and Salvador Allende, Cuba and Castro, Iran and Mossadeq, Franco and Spain, Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam (we “only” killed 3 million people there), Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua.

Here is a good starting point (the entire website is excellent, but the page linked below gives a condensed version of parts of our history the plutocracy doesn’t want the masses to know– the mainstream media and textbook writers have done a masterful job of shielding us from the truths displayed on this site):

http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/US_ThirdWorld/dictators.html

While it wasn’t his intention at the time, David Starr Jordan (from Imperial Democracy, 1899, pp. 50-51 –cited in Monthly Review, September 2006, p. 53.) penned an apt characterization of the despicable foreign policy of the American Empire:

“First you push into territories where you have no business to be, and where you had promised not to go; secondly, your intrusion provokes resentment and, in these wild countries, resentment means resistance; thirdly, you instantly cry out that the people are rebellious and that their act is rebellion (this in spite of your own assurance that you have no intention of setting up a permanent sovereignty over them); fourthly, you send a force to stamp out the rebellion; and fifthly, having spread bloodshed, confusion and anarchy, you declare, with hands uplifted to the heavens, that moral reasons force you to stay, for if you were to leave, this territory would be left in a condition which no civilized power could contemplate with equanimity or with composure. These are the five stages in the Forward Rake’s progress.”

Having analyzed our vile and reprehensible economic paradigm from many angles, I find it virtually impossible to believe that a critical thinking, decent human being could support our institutionalized rapacity, at least not once they pierced the simulacrum so fastidiously maintained by the corporate media.

Fortunately, challenging life experiences spurred me to undertake a spiritual and intellectual journey that enabled me to break free of the prison of false consciousness. While I tend to look at the world through a very eclectic lens, I derive most of my principles, beliefs, and sociopolitical views from Marxism, the Friends of Bill W, Christ’s teachings, and Buddha.

Together with many dedicated and exceptional human beings, I am waging an intellectual/political struggle for social justice, a reasonable degree of peace in the world, a significant reduction in exploitation, a more equitable distribution of resources, an end to the rising epidemic of unnecessary suffering, the formation of a social structure based on our interdependence with nature and each other, the obliteration of the moronic, sociopathic American myth that individuality and personal rights supersede the well-being of the collective, true justice for criminals and their victims, the evisceration of corporate power, awakening people from their trance of self-absorption and apathy, and an end to the hedonistic narcissism manifested in obscene levels of consumerism. A number of factors indicate that we are in a pre-revolutionary stage in the United States. Premature revolutionary activity at this point would be suicidal folly, but meanwhile, we have plenty of opportunity to implement radical solutions at the personal level and to employ political education to win hearts and minds.

If you still tremble at the notion of “Godless communists, socialists or Marxists,” remember that though I am not a Christian, I am deeply spiritual and derive tremendous inspiration from Christ and members of the Liberation Theology Movement. Marxist thought is not antithetical to spirituality, morality, or Christianity. In fact, I examined its synthesis with these elements in some detail when I wrote “Jesus Wouldn’t Bomb Anyone: Why are we waging war on the poor and oppressed?” at:

http://freepress.org/departments/display/9/2007/2526

No, I’m not the “communist bogeyman” that Ronald Reagan (who was a far better actor in the White House than he was in Hollywood) warned you about. How could I be? Communists, socialists, and Marxists are only potentially threatening to those amongst us who will waste eternity desperately attempting to squeeze camels through the eyes of needles.

Forget worrying about the “communist threat.” We need to turn the moneyed establishment’s idiocy on its head and focus our energies on answering a question that affects the 90% of us who aren’t obscenely affluent:

How will humanity survive the capitalist threat?

A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO OUR READERS.

For over two years now, Thomas Paine’s Corner has been a powerful and unwavering voice for a courageous and badly needed agenda for change. We have consistently delivered hard-hitting and insightful commentary, polemics, and analysis in our persistent efforts to persuade, educate, and inspire, and serve as a discriminating but generous platform for voices from many points of view with one thing in common: their spiritual honesty and quality of thinking.

Aside from the caliber of its content, Thomas Paine’s Corner’s strength is that there are no advertisers or corporations to exercise de facto censorship or orchestrate our agenda. We aim to keep it that way and we need your help!

As a semi-autonomous section of the multi-faceted, thoroughly comprehensive, and highly prestigious Cyrano’s Journal Online, we share Cyrano’s passion for winning the battle of communications against systemic lies, an act which is essential to attaining social and environmental justice. To help us achieve that goal, Cyrano’s Journal, besides its regular editorial pages, intends to begin producing editorial videos to expose the lack of proper context, ahistoricalism, excessive over-emphasis on inane events, and outright lies the corporate media, and in particular television, present to you and your family as a steady diet of pernicious intellectual junk food. This will be an expensive under-taking and there will be no grants forthcoming from the likes of the American Enterprise Institute, the Coors or Heritage Foundation. You can be sure of that!

As Greek mythology has it, the powerful are frequently defeated by their own hubris, and that’s precisely what we are witnessing today. Our rotten-to-the-core, usurping plutocracy has become so overtly and arrogantly corrupt that our patience has now reached its generous limit, and the membrane of America’s collective consciousness is about to burst. This will result in a significant restructuring of our socioeconomic and political environments, we hope (and must make sure) for the better. Considering what is at stake in the world today, Cyrano’s Journal and Thomas Paine’s Corner want to accelerate the arrival of that new day, and its promise of a new, truly well organized, kind, and honest civilization.

As always, I think your writing is “spot on” and eloquently written. It gives me hope to know that there are others out there that see the world the way it actually is. People that are fed up with the lack of free thought and compassion that they are actually craving but know not why they can never attain.

    PROGRAMMED RESPONSES

This is part of our training in life; from cradle to grave, we are bombarded with images, sounds, literature and any other impulse that can have an affect. This is all designed to mold us into the “productive member of society” that feeds this parasitic system.

I know not of the moment that I attained freedom and sometimes, I think that it was far easier prior to my awakening. Then I remember what it was like; easy, boring, thoughtless but I always thought there had to be more.

THERE HAS TO BE MORE TO LIFE THAN THE QUEST FOR CASH

Jason mentioned “survival of the fittest” I must disagree. Survival of the Richest, maybe, but it does not take any survival instincts or intelligence to acquire money. It takes cunning and moral flexibility.

Free your minds and this is not just the U.S.; this is the world. (most of it, for those of you that think linear) Back away from Vista, the iPhone and all other forms of materialistically filling the void that you so crave to fill in your empty little lives.

Free thought is the only thing that will evolve us as a species.

And because it was so well written and so correct, thank you Jason and:

Both communism and Capitalism are were created by the JEWS to control both sides of the coin in the exploitation of the “GOY”.
The word you will never see Miller use is the word “JEW”.
It is in the DNA of all Sayanim JEWS to help the cause by never broaching the subject.
The teachings of Christ??????????????? I believe he beat the JEW money changers out of the temple did he not, Kevin? “He called the Jews the generation of vipers” and “the synagogue of Satan.” They had him nailed to the cross. They are responsible for 911 and all world wars. The war with Iran, WWIII quickly approching is a Jew proxy war. The Iraq war is to keep up oil prices up by keeping oil in the ground. The Afghanistan war is to keep Jew control of opium poppies and heroin flowing to the brainless stars of Jew Hollywood and the dumbed-down students produced by the Jew controlled NEA so they can be used as proxy murderers for Jew wars.
Depression II is now rearing its ugly head. Jew Depression II was also for Jew profits.
Can you say Weimar Republic right here in the USA?????
The foremost problem of mankind is the Jew. Henry Ford knew it. Charles Lindbergh knew it.
Those who don’t say it are the true traitors to the freedom of mankind.

Patriot Militia, while it’s true that a certain number of organized Jews are/were involved in engineering some of the worst events in the 20th Century and now in the 21st Century, there were/are plenty of non-Jews who engineered many disasters.

Great commentary by Mr Miller. I agree with almost all of it. It wasn’t until very recently that I began to see that Capitalism is a cancer upon the world….and I’m no true believer in Marxism. The USA is operating under a savage and barbaric form of capitalism.

The problem is that Capitalism needs rules and the government’s job is to be arbiter and referee. It’s supposed to be, but obviously the temptation for corruption is overwhelming. However, if politicians upheld the US Constitution as the final arbiter, corruption would be the exception, not the rule.

There used to be regulations in the corporate world but the deregulation craze during the 80’s and 90’s has manisfested itself in this present ghastly form of barbaric Capitalism/Fascism.

Also, concerning the Third Reich. The USA, as it has shown time and again, will invade, destroy, occupy nations that resist the US-style savage Capitalist system. Adolph Hitler and the Nazi Party demonstrated that a Third Way of running an economy is possible outside of a Central Bank, debt-based, unequal predatory system. This was done before Germany invaded anyone or killed one single Jew, and probably one of the reasons that the Soviet Union and the USA were so ready to destroy National Socialism more than any other reason.

  4. Phil Rockstrohon 27 Jul 2007 at 10:09 am

The propaganda of state capitalism is so pervasive and all-encompassing, in the U.S., that Americans have utterly internalized the mixture of propaganda and toxic mythos, so that they have about the same option of outward disbelief to its tenets as did European peasants to the teaching of the Medieval church.

Constantly, I am mystified and mortified, in conversations such as the one Jason related in his fine piece, by the self-deception of those Americans, foaming at the mouth right-wingers and elist liberals alike, who can’t — or even allow themselves to envisage a less destructive, soul-defying system as capitalism. The degree of self-deception and group delusion is simply staggering.

But the rotten to core system is decaying around us like particleboard houses in rising floodwaters. To paraphrase James Kunstler, we’re going to have to find a way to live by other means.

You tell em”, Jason. Don’t relent … We’ll either be waterboarded or surf this flood.

What can a person do to fight against such a large foe as your own country? It seems that no matter where you spend your money it will end up in the hands of the people tearing this country to shreds. The enormity of the problem in the USA causes me to become paralized. Our choices of to whom we can vote for to be president are as undemocratic as the rest of our everyday decisions that we have to make to survive. Choose from the siver spoon, upper class, tainted by money or power delegates. I believe that due to our ( us gov ) constant interfernce with other countries that we ( USA ) are deserved target of an Iranian nuke. Who could blame them? Is it just me or does anyone else enjoy interviews with the Iranian leader? Not to say he isn’t a bit frightening but I like his ” I don’t give a shit” attitude toward questions about the US government. Is it best to fight? Where does someone start? Or rather to leave this country? Surely there must be a small corner of China or Russia that people could inhabit without being monipulated by groups with sinister, self serving MO’s. Or perhaps we could reorganize a backward ass state such as Arizona or Texas. Israel did it. HOW does someone survive ( economically, parenting ) in a society that is controlled by evil people and where the mass majority seem to be blind to what is going on. How the hell has Bush and Chaney not been impeached, fired, dismissed or taken out? Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, have a nice day! Oh, and is true communism a bad thing?

The article was linked through another website that I frequent, and I will be a regular visitor from now on.

This article echoes many of my own thoughts and I applaud Jason for his excellent writing.

So often in our “society” it is easy to feel alone in one’s views and I am always comforted when I hear from others with like minds.

I will be back often and thank you.

Myself, I am still a Tribal Communalist who now lives under a Capitalist govt. I don’t see any System of Mammon actually working over a long period of time…but when your born..where your born..and what type of Govt. is there when those events occur is what you get.

I just consider I am only passing through this world without the idealism that thing will revert back to Tribal living…& simply living with the Earth…

  8. amicusOmnion 27 Jul 2007 at 4:27 pm

Shadow Dancer the solution is never to crawl back into your own personal sphere and let the world do what it pleases. Injustices and crimes need to be fought. To stand by when they are committed is to facilitate them, and is selfish and a bit cowardly.

  9. Medjoolon 27 Jul 2007 at 7:42 pm

Capitalism isn’t nearly as evil as the privatizatiion of the societal function that ‘creates’ money. This is what results in the concentration of huge amounts of wealth in very few hands. I believe communism was a foil to distract people from paying attention to this evil. Everything we are taught in school is to divert our attention from how we are enslaved by borrowing money from banks, and by the government’s deficit spending.

If you want to reduce evil in the world, learn how money is created, and who benefits from this process most. Once you grasp that, communicate it to everyone you know. When everyone understands this, the whole system will change dramatically. We are enslaved by our ignorance. Those who enslave us want to keep us ignorant. Don’t let them.

  10. Kathie Costoson 29 Jul 2007 at 4:54 pm

You always have amazing stories here. On this one I had to comment. I am what they call a “bleeding heart liberal” and take no offense to it. My boss likes me that way. So does my Father. I work for a church as the head of Christian Education. What most people get wrong about Christianity is the difference between the law of God and the law of man. Take a good long look at the Ten Commandments and you will know what I mean. Nowhere in them do you see the authority given to man to kill for any reason, yet the laws of man permit it. In some cases, the law of man demands it. Nowhere in them do you see that any of us are entitled to inflict our own beliefs on anyone, yet we see this all the time even though God created everyone with the freewill to worship Him or not. No matter if they choose to or not, those who do are supposed to treat them according to those ten sets of rules. Read them and you see those Commandments are all about love. Loving God and loving each other.

If you move onto what Jesus had to say, you need look no further than the Sermon on the Mount. Again what you see is love. Jesus mentioned the law of man and how the attitude was “eye for eye” but that is not what he said God wanted. He wanted us to forgive.

We see a continuance of the laws from the minds of men hiding behind what God said. This happens all the time. They use it when they talk about the sin of “homosexuality” but avoid noticing that it was not part of the Ten Commandments, nor was it in anything Jesus said. There was however the word “adultery” which was condemned by them as well as by what Jesus said when discussing divorce. Again, it is all about how you treat someone. Adultery hurts the person you are married to and promised to love as your partner. Divorce hurts your spouse as well as your children. It is a promise given but not kept.

We see it in the death penalty although Jesus stopped the adulteress from being stoned to death by the mob. He told the crowd to let the one without sin judge her and cast the first stone. That in itself explains how he felt about the death penalty. He was the only one without sin standing there and refused to judge her.

About 80% of the population of this nation claim to be Christian, yet very few actually follow what the Bible says. They follow the ideas man has placed within the pages of the scripture. If we all lived by what God Himself said and what Jesus said, there would not be one person in this 80% range supporting the death penalty, judgement or this administration. They would not support tax cuts for the wealthy at the same time poverty goes up. They would not support the lack of healthcare in this nation. They would not fail at being good stewards of the land God put them in charge of. They would not support the invasion or the occupation of Iraq and would in fact seek accountability because truth would be respected enough to seek it. Ask any Bush supporters why they believe as they do and they will quote from the Old Testament but not from the Ten Commandments. They will quote from the followers of Christ who came well after he returned to Heaven, but will not quote the Sermon on the Mount.

    amicusOmni,

Your thoughts are noted, and filed in the appropreate place.

I didn’t found America, and I didn’t build America. This is the white folk wanted, and this is what the white folk wrought upon the Earth, and what they got.

According to my readings the founders of America patterned their Nation after Rome.
So that’s what you, the Roman Empire reborn.

I wonder how long most of the folks posting here would be able to live if I took them back a 1000 years in time, and they no longer had money to do their bidding, nor stores where they buy things.

Now you have computers & you still aren’t happy. Most all white folks do is weep, wail, and gnash their teeth about either their own personal problems, their family problems, or the problems of their Nation.

Interesting to listen, too, but not all that interesting.

Your Ronald McDonald-Walmart world has achieved mediocrity while destroying the Earth along the way.

    You have achieved.

Hard for me to imagine how the Tribes lived for 1000’s upon 1000’s of years upon the Earth without the white folks system of Govt, business, and education, but it isn’t all that hard for me to image.

I am just watching your Nation turn the people in the Middle East into the New Indians.

The headlines in 1800’s was…Exterminate Them All…meaning all people of Native Tribal Heritage. Ever research how many Indians were murdered off in the Western States under Lincoln’s Reign.

The name of this land is Turtle Island…and history goes a lot further back than Columbus or the Pilgrims arriving.

The Mormons in their Book state Jesus lived in Turtle Island teaching some Tribes. There are also stories of Jesus living here from within Tribes themselves.

Rome had conquered Israel before Jesus was born there of human flesh. Here is what Jesus did about the Roman occupation of Israel, Absolutely Nothing.

Jesus did not even teach any violence towards Rome, nor to disobey Roman law including those wonderful Roman taxes.

Jesus taught his Father’s Spiritual Kingdom that is not of the world of man. Jesus never said he came to make the world safe for Democracy. Perhaps that’s the devil’s line?

You perhaps know that the Israelites were a Tribal people’s, and that Jesus was born of the Tribe of Jesus.

You perhaps know the Israelites in their envy of the other Nations asked God for a King…A worldly King. God told them a King would enslave them. Perhaps God views this world as a…Slave world?

But God knew in their hearts the Israelites did not want for themselves what he wanted for them…They just wanted to be like the other Nations of the Earth.

They ended up with both King Herods and the Caesar’s of Rome…

While at the same time the Native Tribes of this land were still living as Tribes…and now the Roman Empire is here.

Time flys while your having fun.

Neither of the King Herods or Caesar’s of Rome are ruling over the Kingdom of Heaven, nor are any Republicans or Democrats or former Presidents ruling over the Kingdom of Heaven. Already sounds like Heaven to me.

Most white folk cannot figure out why I am so happy. Because I am just passing through their world. It’s their world God is bringing to the end.

And if I am correct…I use the word…IF…their Nation is Mystery Babylon or The Beast of Revelation…well..then what can I say as it isn’t my job to judge America or Americans…or anyone else for that matter, nor is my job to solve the problems of America…

Strange that America has so many problems now only after a scant 112 years of rounding up the last of the Tribes…Problems that never existed for the 1000’s & 1000’s of years before the Europeans..and now everyone else began arriving…

    Strange indeed.

So beautiful it made me scream “at last!”. It sums up so brilliantly what I’ve been thinking for years but was never able to express so eloquently (nor to find anywhere in US forums), and has all the arguments I tried to use, as a European, with my American counterparts!

The sad part is that The United States where, at the beginning of the 20th century till late 30’, the beacon of social struggles (one has to (re)read Howard Zinn). Then came the October revolution, and consequences we all know. From that moment, any mention of socialism/communism was considered un-American, a trend which went worse as the year went by, to culminate with McCarthyism. Mass hysteria in DC, with lifes and reputations destroyed, people ending in exile, while others sold their soul. All of this in a time when not one living American knew what communism was, not to mention talked to one of its worshippers. From birth, trough school, to death, incessant brainwashing about a red threat that has never existed elsewhere than in the paranoid fantasies of your governments, fed by the military complex sale strategy. US ruling class saw a chance, and took it with joy, to get rid, once and for all, of all human aspirations to anything else than iconised capitalism. Their success brought us the worst and most bloodiest century in history of humanity.

As you so rightly underline, the fact that those who paid the highest price to German defeat where the Russians (suffice to say how many german divisions where sent to russian front at the end of the war, compared to those sent to Normandy. Hitler was much more scared of the communists), with million against million battles ending in bloodshed as red army was ill-equipped and using mostly infantry, you might also mention the fact that, after all, national-socialism (an oxymoron) and anti-Semitism have their roots in US, with Henry Ford and its “International Jew”. That should tone down those bragging about how “they saved our ass”.

Free-market is not a prerequisite to democracy. On the contrary. Along with capitalism, it grows stronger from any dictatorial’s manure. Hence the definition of fascism, linking the political regime with the corporate enthusiasm (for any examples, see South America for 50 years, or China for that matter). Free-market does not exist. Never has. Never will. It’s as stupid as the invisible hand. UK/US/Europe were the most protectionist countries on earth, until they decided their where ready, industrialized enough, to open their borders (took some time). Today, they ask every single African and Asian countries to implement it for yesterday, which is a convenient way to grab entire industries in those same countries.
No. Capitalism ultimate achievement is…communism. No the utopian hopes it once carried (they are not that stupid), only the worst its interpretations gave throughout history: Monopolies, personality cults, police state, wars, and on and on.

So, Marx predicted a more humane and egalitarian system after capitalism, did he? Such as the systems of Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot? Your rather shallow (and patently incorrect) analysis of economics smacks of resentment. Resentment of others more materially successful than yourself. I would suggest that you read ‘Atlas Shrugged’ by Ayn Rand, or Solzhenitsyn’s ‘Gulag Archipelago’. The main economic failure of Communist states has been due to inefficient allocation of resources (due to central planning) and a lack of incentivisation. Nevermind their bloodthirst. Yes, today’s oligarchy is a class of pirate “globalists” seeking the highest return on capital wherever in the world it may be found. Which means they are essentially stealing the wealth of ordinary Americans by moving production offshore to semi-slave states and reselling the goods domestically for much higher profit margins. With government complicity. This benefits the stockholders and heavily bonused executives of these companies, and on the massive scale it its currently implemented, robs the rest of the nation. Capitalism is not a cancer, it is a powerful force of economic production, and like fire, or sex, it should not be unleashed with total reckless abandon .

Governments derive their power from the consent of the people…..or at least that’s what they say. How much longer will Americans sleep, believing the lie as they watch reruns of American Idol while chowing down on carcinogenic snacks and guzzling alcohol, Prozac and Viagra? How much worse will the situation have to become before the average Joe Blow takes to the streets and forsakes the comforts of capitalism that have morally bankrupted this pseudo-nation? It is a rhetorical question of course but I fear it will not happen in my lifetime at the age of 37, that is if it happens at all. If only I could come back to see capitalism in its “last throes”.

The guy talking about Jews was spot on but it is also a larger Anglo Saxon issue too. White people have a built-in insecurity complex that makes them behave in overly aggressive manners when in positions of power. Michael Bradley’s “Iceman Inheritance” details one possible evolutionary explanation for this aggression. Regardless of the origin of it, it is real and it must be stopped before it kills every living thing on the planet. Something happened to white people while they were evolving in the colder climates. I think it has to do with how white men and women failed to bond to each other properly and of course living in a colder climate made whites obsessed with technology as a tool of survival.

We all came from the same area of Africa. It often seems that whites long for blackness or at least darker-ness. They want to dance like blacks, sing like blacks, fuck like blacks, get tan skin at the risk of melanoma, etc. I think it’s just the true African in whites that they still long for subconsciously but lost. It’s that cultural authenticity that suburban white youth taste when they listen to gangsta rap. Believe it or not a pill is being developed so that whites can produce more pigment-producing melanocytes to give them more natural protection from the sun so they don’t have to wear sunscreen and risk cancer. It’s called Melanotan. Look it up. This is just getting downright bizarre folks.

This insatiable desire whites have for power and control is rooted in their leaving Africa many, many years ago. I’m not saying there are no evil blacks or that all whites are evil but the problems of our time are problems created largely by white men and all that designation entails. Until white people confront this mental deficiency head on we will continue down the path of ultimate destruction. I recommend Tim Wise or Molly Secours as a starting point for those willing to begin the journey to healing.

hey — if you translate that into english that people could read easily, you might make something from it.

if not — just intellectual masturbation.

you intellectuals are your own worst enemies.

  16. angydrunkon 02 Aug 2007 at 6:46 pm

    Mr. George Thompson:

Your ideas are frightening, and absurd. That you could be so easily persuaded that there is someting “wrong” with white people belies an astonishing naivete, or worse, resentment. And this pseudo scientific gibberish about white men and women not bonding during the cold ice age– you are either a perfect example of a demoralized white man or a minority bursting with racial hatreds. According to your logic, what then is wrong with black people that would account for their rates of senseless crime and general incompetence?

  17. George Thompsonon 03 Aug 2007 at 5:54 am

The problem with blacks and other minorities is that they are forced to assimilate and adopt the habits of white culture, which is violence, predatory capitalism, rabid individualism, blind nativism, self-hatred and the like. This column is not about race but race is intertwined into every aspect of human interaction because the white power structure wants it that way to keep us all divided and you are proof it works. You call me a racist and then you say ALL black people are dumb and violent. That merits no further reply.

Nice work Jason. Money is not the root of evil, but greed may very well be to blame!

  19. william powellon 08 Aug 2007 at 8:45 am

Another great article Jason, keep em coming. Loaded questions, like are you a communist, are common for anyone who makes an attemp to think independently, and have the courage to speak honestly. There have been many negative labels placed on the people I respect most throught history. That is the game that has been skillfully executed by the wannabe elitists for centuries. Lie, divide and conquer. It seems the only reasonable choice, is to anticipate the slanderous venom being spat upon those who want to be a part of the solution. For me that is just being mindful of the teachings of Christ, Malcolm X, Ghandi and many others, who have sacrifced self in order to serve the greater good. Most people, including myself aren’t ready to go all out. We like breathing too much, not to mention the comfortable lifestyle many of us have. I choose continue to read and make the effort to reeducate myself, so I can grow into a fearless radical worthy of the life I have been blessed with. How will humanity survive the capitalist threat? I don’t know, I suppose only time will tell. I think another pertinent question is, can we survive? Considering massive stockplies of WMD held by elitists around the globe, I guess we have a 50/50 chance. Who would like to flip the coin?
