When pilot-boy, George landed on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln, which was moored a few miles from San Diego on May 1st, 2003, he declared an “end” to major combat in Iraq. Imagine, even after all of the havoc already wreaked in Iraq, how relieved that I, a mother of a soldier was. Little did I know how much more havoc George still had up his sleeve.
We all know (although a few still refuse to believe) the lies that led us to this illegal and amoral occupation of Iraq. If we didn’t know on March 19, 2003---when George went on national news and told us that the invasion had begun and for the people of Iraq to make sure the oil fields weren’t damaged, we know now. We know that the VP, Doomsday Dick, gleaned nothing but forged and misleading intelligence from cowed lower-level CIA operatives who handed over to their high-level visitor anything that he wanted.
We all know that Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction and the ones that he did have and did use on his people were often supplied by past Republican administrations. We all know now that after 12 years of US-UN-Clinton led sanctions against Iraq that the country was decimated and over one million of its citizens dead in that time: mostly children.
We all know that the bottomless pit of billions of dollars borrowed from China and Japan to wage this war will be paid off by the sweat and labor of our children’s children and the resentment and hatred that George has brought upon our Nation will also last for generations.
We all know that every minute that this Halliburton-Blackwater war for profit continues, the less chance there is of having any coherent government or Iraq to put back together.
A country is in ruins. Hundreds of thousands of people are dead. BushCo have lied and stolen our freedoms in the name of keeping us “safe from the terrorists.” George Bush is the dictator that he always wanted to be and the war profiteers are getting richer off of stolen lives such as my son, Casey’s.
Iraq and America cannot afford to support BushCo and their mission to smash Iraq to smithereens. Our soldiers who serve dutifully to come home to a VA system that is as putrid as BushCo cannot afford even one more day of this criminal cabal, let alone 21 more months. The people of Iraq who never did anything to us or the US cannot afford any more of BushCo’s decaying democracy or forced freedom. BushCo are enemies of humanity and the entire planet must be saved from them.
When George landed on the deck almost four years ago in his Captain Cod Piece moment with a banner unfurled and flying high which read: Mission Accomplished…for once he wasn’t lying.
The oil fields were secure and Halliburton and KBR who preceded our troops to the Middle East were raking in the bucks faster than they were doing their (no-bid) contracted jobs. A hallmark of any occupation is causing chaos and confusion. If the residents are fighting each other, how can they stop the pirates from stealing their oil wealth?
BushCo have been master profiteers and confusion causers.
The neo-con mission of Pax Americana and the oil baron mission of nothing less than all the oil and all the money have been accomplished in Iraq.
Who will stop BushCo before they achieve another victory in Iran?
Cindy Lee Miller Sheehan, born July 10, 1957 (for those who have been on Planet X the last 20 years), is a brave American anti-Iraq War activist, whose son, Casey Sheehan, was killed during his service in Iraq. She is a huge headache for the empire managers because she represents American womanhood at its best, and she can't be bribed or intimidated. If Che were alive today, he would surely say, "One Sheehan, two Sheehans, many Sheehans."
We must all support Cindy Sheehan.
Please come to Camp Casey this Easter to help stop the Bush Regime. The entire weekend will be devoted to impeachment enlightenment.
